PowerPhilanthropy is an online giving marketplace developed by The Columbus Foundation for donors who want to make informed decisions about the nonprofit organizations they support. Everyone can easily access information around the clock about the programs, management, and finances of more than 500 central Ohio nonprofits.

In specially designed classrooms of mixed age groups, children ages 3-6 are encouraged to be sensorial explorers, soaking up every aspect of their environment, including language and culture. Columbus Montessori Education Center characterizes students as possessing the ability to absorb information from his or her surroundings. The agency is a Step Up to Quality center and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. |

Community Housing Network provides permanent, affordable housing to individuals with long-term mental illness or addiction who are able to live independently. Recovery supportive housing provides rental apartments for clients who have voluntarily taken steps to seek treatment. Service-enriched supportive housing provides apartments with 24-hour on-site services for individuals who have been unable to maintain housing due to the significance of their disabilities. |

Whether disabled through a birth condition, injury, or illness, or because of functional limitations experienced during aging, Easter Seals Central and Southeast Ohio’s medical rehabilitation services are often the first step in gaining independence. Physical, occupational, and speech therapies are provided to support individuals with special needs. Founded by Ohio businessman Edgar Allen in 1919, the organization now has 89 affiliates nationwide. |

Gladden Community House provides wrap-around afterschool and out-of-school services to Franklinton youth ages 5-18. Social groups, teen leadership training, literacy tutoring, recreation activities, field trips, and team sports are offered to help students improve school attendance and performance. In addition, the agency serves over 2,000 hot meals each month to neighborhood youth. | |

GroundWork Group delivers quality technology-related services, products, education, and training to nonprofit organizations. Services include over 1,700 web-based courses at reduced prices, individualized consultation, strategic technology planning, and database management solutions. Nonprofit executives, IT staff, and program managers are able to learn best practices through monthly Lunch and Learn educational sessions, quarterly educational workshops, and an annual conference. |

The average age of a homeless person is nine years old. The Homeless Families Foundation addresses the educational, cultural, and emotional obstacles these children face by providing an afterschool and full-day summer tutoring program. The center provides a safe haven to help homeless children succeed academically, and 70 percent of families served move from the shelter to permanent housing. |

Outpatient Counseling
The Neighborhood House, Inc. assists individuals struggling with alcohol or drug abuse through outpatient treatment and counseling. Professional staff offers ways to cope with alcohol and substance abuse problems and coordinates a "Dealer's Group" to prevent recidivism. The settlement house has been helping families on the near east side become self-sufficient since 1909. |

Intergenerational Theatre
SRO Theatre Company has become a national player in senior adult theatre by creating original works and participating in innovative collaborations. The performance troupe offers touring shows and in-school programs, including Tuesdays with Morrie, A Tribute to Shel Silverstein, A Christmas Carol, and The Velveteen Rabbit. An intergenerational cast will present two main stage productions this year––Christmas My Way, a Sinatra Holiday Bash! and Chicago. |

Cantelina Concerts
A four-concert chamber music series at the Columbus Museum of Art that combines classical music with pictorial art and educational dialogue, cantilena concerts are designed to educate and entertain. In its inaugural season, Women in Music-Columbus focused the series on the importance of African-American culture and the musical inspirations of women composers and artists through the centuries. |
