Sandra R. Smith
Senior Community Research and Grants Management Officer
Sandi Smith leads the implementation of many of The Columbus Foundation’s grantmaking priorities. She actively represents and participates in community initiatives on behalf of the Foundation, and supports the processes of Supporting Foundations at The Columbus Foundation.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Sandi was president and CEO of the Madame Walker Theatre Center in Indianapolis, Indiana as well as deputy director/performing arts director for the The King Arts Complex in Columbus.
Sandi received a bachelor of art degree with a marketing minor from Capital University. She has also participated in postgraduate studies in Arts and Public Policy at The Ohio State University. She is currently the board chair for the Fund of Folk Culture, board member and secretary of Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees, a board member of Leveraging Investments in Creativity, on the steering committee of the Capacity Building Initiative-Columbus, and is on the advisory committee of the Foundation Center Cleveland.
