2012 Menu of Hope Luncheon

Children’s Hunger Alliance, formerly known as the Ohio Hunger Task Force, celebrated its 25th anniversary by hosting the first annual Menu of Hope Luncheon on February 26, 1996. Eight hundred corporate executives representing their respective companies, legislators, and civic leaders attended the event, netting more than $65,000 to support its mission.

Building upon the success of the previous year, the second annual Menu of Hope exceeded the first luncheon’s attendance, with more than 150 individual companies participating and netting over $80,000. Since then, the luncheon has seen tremendous growth. In 2011, the event netted nearly $230,000, more than three times the funds contributed for the first luncheon, and drew almost 1,000 attendees. Over the past 16 years, the Menu of Hope Luncheon has raised nearly $4 million in support of our mission to break the cycle of childhood hunger in Ohio.

Today, the Menu of Hope Luncheon continues to be one of central Ohio’s premier philanthropic events. This year’s luncheon will will feature Jane Pauley as keynote speaker.
