February Family Films: “African-American Books-to-Movies”

The February Family Film Series 2012, will focus on African-American books that have become movies.

In honor of Black History Month, these movies were selected present life experiences through the African Diaspora. This series will embrace, review, and acknowledge the power of the literature that has spawned films on cultural and social patterns of our society. The dialogue will be led by community facilitators and/or local media personalities who will provide expertise in their field either by knowledge or interest.
