February Film Series Matinee

Students from local schools are invited to call to reserve a space to view the featured film on the big screen in the historic Pythian Theatre.
An interactive study guide will be provided to participating teachers featuring pre-visit and post-visit information.
The February Family Film Series 2012, will focus on African-American books that have become movies.
In honor of Black History Month, the movies that were selected present life experiences through the African Diaspora. This series will embrace, review, and acknowledge the power of the literature that has spawned films on cultural and social patterns of our society.
