World Premiere starring BalletMet and the Columbus Jazz Orchestra

Thrill at the sight of the BalletMet dancers as each kick, turn, and leap is articulated by the virtuosic sounds of the Columbus Jazz Orchestra (CJO). From gospel to Motown, jazz to classical ballet, Jazz Moves Columbus will commemorate the city’s heritage with two of its artistic treasures. The original Jazz Moves won the Greater Columbus Arts Council’s Artistic Excellence Award and was called “groundbreaking” by the Columbus Dispatch. In collaboration with WOSU Public Media’s “Columbus Neighborhoods” series, BalletMet and the Jazz Arts Group celebrate life in Columbus through a synthesis of music, movement, and imagery.
