Junior Docent Program

The Junior Docent Program runs from June 1 through August 31, 2012.
The King Arts Complex, in collaboration with the Twin Rivers Chapter of the Links Inc., provides opportunities for middle school and high school students to participate in a training program to conduct guided tours. The program increases cultural awareness and appreciation for the art in the Elijah Pierce Gallery and the five inter-active installations in the complex. This enriching program, instructed by the curatorial consultant, also heightens self-esteem, self discipline, and increases motivation to learn about African-American culture and the historical significance of and King Lincoln District.
