<p>SRO Theatre Company presents the rock musical <em>Chess in Concert</em> (British Version) with music by Benny Andersson and Bjan Ulvaeus, lyrics by Tim Rice, based on an idea by Tim Rice, and book by Richard Nelsen. The story involves a romantic triangle and political intrigue set in the world of international chess competition during the time of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union.</p>
<p>Directed by Joe Bishara, associate artistic director of CATCO-Phoenix, with music direction by Nancy S. Nocks, SRO executive/artistic director, the production will be staged at the Shedd Theatre in the Columbus Performing Arts Center.</p>
<p>Principal actors include: Liz Wheeler as Florence; Matt Clemens (Equity) as Frederick, the American; Joe Bishara (Equity) as Anatoly, the Russian; Stewart Bender as Molokov; Kim Garrison Hopcraft as Svetlana; Jess Hanks (Equity) as The Arbiter; and Christopher Storer as Walter.</p>
<p>The 15-person ensemble cast members include George Bailey, Harry F. Murphine, Sonny Pierce, Brandon Fox, Ryan Carrier, Amanda Cawthorne, McKenzie Vaughn, Denae Rall, Alexa Jo Rybinski, Amy Silver Judd, Terri McKean Jones, Amy Debevoise, Amy Kohler, Candice Knight, and Ruth Fuller.</p>
