Arts and Culture
The Columbus Foundation supports high-performing arts organizations that meet community needs, expand arts and cultural programming, or provide education.
- Organizations with budgets at or greater than $350,000 per year may be eligible for the Major Arts program;
- Organizations with budgets less than $350,000 may be eligible for the Community Arts Fund.
Grant Application Instructions
To apply for an Arts and Culture Grant:
- Contact a staff member for questions, or prior to applying, if the organization has never received arts funding.
- For technical assistance, contact Melissa Neely.
- Access, complete, and submit the application online.
- The form is accessible one month before the deadline.
- Applications must be submitted by the first Friday in February. Consult the Events Calendar for the specific deadline date.
Requirements
- A complete and up-to-date PowerPhilanthropy portrait is required.
- Organization audits are included in PowerPhilanthropy portraits; please refer to the Foundation’s Audit Requirement (PDF), Major Arts Fiscal Policies, and Audit Exemption Request Form (PDF).
- In order to apply for arts funding, organizations must have 501(c)(3) public charity status from the Internal Revenue Service and cannot use a fiscal agent.
