The Columbus Foundation
Built in 1904 by Charles Lindenberg. this Georgian Revival Eclectic style house was sold to the State of Ohio in 1919 for $75,000 to be remodeled as the Governor’s Mansion. The families of ten Ohio governors lived here over a 36-year period before the official governor’s residence moved to Bexley.
A generous gift from the Wexner Foundation, the late Bella C. Wexner, and Leslie H. Wexner was used to purchase the property as the official home for the Foundation in 1988.
