When is #GivingTuesday?
#GivingTuesday is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This year it falls on November 27, 2018.
How is The Columbus Foundation participating in #GivingTuesday?
With The Columbus Foundation’s Give Two on #GivingTuesday promotion, anyone who donates to two or more nonprofit organizations or Better Together projects listed in The Giving Store on November 27 will receive a $20 Columbus Foundation Charitable Gift Card, redeemable at any of the 1,000+ organizations listed in The Giving Store.
How can my nonprofit organization participate in Give Two on #GivingTuesday?
With a Directory Listing in The Giving Store, you’re already “signed up” to participate in the Give Two on #GivingTuesday activities. Take advantage of the #GivingTuesday Toolkit, where you'll find tips on how to promote and encourage donations to your organization on #GivingTuesday, including graphics and templates to use in your email communications and on social media.

When and how will participants receive their gift card?
Eligible donors will receive their gift card on or before December 14, 2018. Gift cards will be mailed to the donor's billing address, as entered when they made their #GivingTuesday donations.
I don't have a Directory Listing—can my organization still participate?
Only organizations with a Directory Listing in The Giving Store are eligible for the Give Two on #GivingTuesday gift card promotion. Follow the instructions below to sign up for a Directory Listing. All required forms must be submitted by November 16, 2018 in order to ensure your listing is active in The Giving Store by #GivingTuesday.
Is there a minimum grant or gift required to qualify for the "Give Two" promotion?
The minimum credit card amount for each gift is $20 and the minimum Donor Advised Fund grant is $100.
Do gifts to endowment funds count toward the #GivingTuesday promotion?
Donations made to a Directory Listing in The Giving Store can be directed to an organization's endowment fund or directly to the organization. Donors have the option to choose where to direct their gift during checkout. Gifts to an organization's endowment are included in the Give Two on #GivingTuesday promotion.
When will nonprofits receive their #GivingTuesday donations?
All donations will be processed and distributed on or before December 14, 2018. Credit card gifts made through your Directory Listing are distributed electronically, via direct deposit into your bank account. Your listing administrator will receive a notification email when deposits are made. You can then view and export gift details, including acknowledgement information. You will receive contributions and acknowledgement information from Donor Advised Fund grants in the mail.
Can donors make two separate gifts to the same organization for Give Two on #GivingTuesday?
Donors must give to two or more unique nonprofit organizations or Better Together projects listed in The Giving Store to receive the $20 Columbus Foundation Charitable Gift Card. Multiple gifts to the same organization are NOT eligible for the Give Two on #GivingTuesday promotion.
If a donor gives to four nonprofit organizations, will they receive two gift cards?
No. Donors who give to two or more unique nonprofit organizations or Better Together projects listed in The Giving Store will receive one $20 Columbus Foundation Charitable Gift Card.
Are there any fees associated with credit card gifts?
With just a 2.35 percent flat fee, The Giving Store is the best way for your organization to benefit from your donors' generosity. Plus, donors have the option to cover this cost, so 100 percent can go directly to your organization.
Will The Columbus Foundation accept checks or cash for my organization?
Giving through your listing in The Giving Store is done via credit card or Columbus Foundation Donor Advised Fund. Unfortunately, we cannot accept checks or cash.
Do Columbus Foundation Charitable Gift Cards expire?
The Columbus Foundation Charitable Gift Cards do not expire and may be redeemed to support over 1,000 area nonprofits.
