5 Nonprofits to Watch Spotlight: Mansion Day School

Strong Start, Strong Finish: Preparing Students for Success

In March, The Columbus Foundation announced the 5 Nonprofits to Watch in 2024, a group of exemplary and dynamic nonprofits working to strengthen and improve the community. Among these organizations is Mansion Day School, a coeducational preschool through 5th grade preparatory day school located in Columbus’ Woodland Park neighborhood on the Near East Side.

Since 1989, Mansion Day School has been committed to educating students to become confident learners in a disciplined yet nurturing setting. With a focus on rigorous academics in a multi-cultural environment, Mansion Day School helps students develop a strong work ethic, a lifelong love of learning, and a strong foundation of academic excellence.

In an interview with The Columbus Foundation, Quinn, a former Mansion Day School student, and his father, George “Ski” Zarebski, shared the remarkable impact that Mansion Day School has had on their family. Dee James, Head of School at Mansion Day School, also explained how the school helps students build a strong educational, social, and cultural foundation for lifelong success.
