Meet Linda Logan, 2024 Honoree of The Spirit of Columbus® Award

Long before Linda Logan was the CEO and President of the Greater Columbus Sports Commission, an organization dedicated to making Columbus a premier sports destination for athletes and fans, she was a young girl who loved baseball. Over the years, her love of the game grew and evolved, eventually leading Logan to study sports administration at Ohio University and pursue a career that ignited her passion for sports.

Last month, in a surprise announcement made during a Columbus Crew match at Lower.com Field, The Columbus Foundation presented The Spirit of Columbus® Award to Logan. Created in 2013 in honor of Jerrie Mock, the first woman to fly solo around the world, The Spirit of Columbus® Award celebrates those in our community who exhibit bravery, determination, and boldness through their actions.

Logan was selected as the 2024 honoree in recognition of her dedication to community partnerships, promoting the image and spirit of the Columbus region, and inspiring future champions. In addition to attracting some of the biggest sporting events and athletes to Columbus, Logan has also leveraged sports to build community, help youth develop confidence and valuable life skills, and elevate girls and women in sports.
