Resources for Educators

As educators, we know you are passionate about creating a kinder community—for your students, their families, and their neighborhoods. Your daily work is empowering the next generation to embrace kindness, nurture compassion, and be an agent for change. We are here to support you!

Postcards with Purpose

Designed for students grades K-12, Postcards with Purpose includes free postcards, postage, and a letter writing activity and discussion guide. As students explore the benefits of letter writing, they will strengthen relationships in their lives by letting others know they care, helping to build a kinder world for us all! Typically, the program runs from mid-January to mid-February each year.

The Big Table®

Each year The Columbus Foundation provides supplies and a host guide for a community-wide day of conversation called The Big Table®. Educators are invited to adapt The Big Table for their classrooms to encourage youth to include their voices in imagining the next steps toward a kind and just future for the central Ohio region.

World Kindness Day

The World Kindness Day Educator Toolkit, designed for students K-8, includes activities for students to explore multiple dimensions of kindness. Students will connect with one another and their community—helping to build a kinder world for us all! Registration for the World Kindness Educator Toolkit opens in late September and activities are to be completed in November.
