$500,000 grant challenges others to support this effort
COLUMBUS, OH (March 20, 2020)—The Columbus Foundation announced Diamond Hill Capital Management made a historic grant to help support the community through The Columbus Foundation’s Emergency Response Fund. The $500,000 grant from the Diamond Hill Investments Charitable Foundation Fund will provide critical assistance to central Ohio nonprofits responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We want to do our best to help our great community at this challenging time, and we hope many others join us during this unprecedented period,”said Heather Brilliant, CFA, President and CEO of Diamond Hill Capital Management. “We want to help offset the dislocation happening in our economy, and we are fortunate to have the Columbus Foundation taking the lead in distributing resources to those in need.”
Diamond Hill Capital Management is an independent investment management company that invests on behalf of institutions and individuals through mutual funds and institutional separate accounts. The firm is a subsidiary of Diamond Hill Investment Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: DHIL).
The Foundation launched the Emergency Response Fund to assist nonprofit organizations that are experiencing a loss of revenue and/or an increase in operating costs due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The fund was seeded with a $1 million donation from the Foundation, though anyone can give to the fund, starting at $20.
