Grants benefit 30 nonprofits serving the central Ohio region.
Columbus, OH (November 2, 2023)—The Columbus Foundation today announced more than $2.6 million in grants to local nonprofit organizations to support a variety of capital improvement projects. The grants will benefit 30 nonprofits that serve the central Ohio region, providing catalytic capital to help organizations enhance and expand service delivery, renovate and update facilities, purchase new equipment and technology, and more.
The Columbus Foundation awards capital improvement grants through a competitive grantmaking process that is supported by Columbus Foundation donors who have left a legacy through Unrestricted or Field of Interest Funds. This year, individual capital improvement grants ranged from $10,000 to $1 million.
“Large or small, capital improvement projects empower nonprofits to build capacity and better meet the ever-changing needs of our community,” said Dan Sharpe, Vice President for Community Research and Grants Management at The Columbus Foundation. “From building repairs and renovations to purchasing a new cargo van to distribute food to families in need, these grants provide critical resources that positively impact nonprofits’ missions as they continue to serve our region.”
