The Columbus Foundation Awards $1.75 Million in Grants to Local Arts and Culture Organizations

Columbus, OH (May 20, 2024)— The Columbus Foundation today announced its Governing Committee has approved more than $1.75 million in grants to local arts and culture organizations. A total of 74 nonprofits will receive unrestricted operating support to help these organizations meet community needs and expand arts and cultural programming in Franklin County.

“Columbus is fortunate to be home to many world-class arts organizations, both large and small, that contribute to the vibrancy and well-being of our region,” said Doug Kridler, President and CEO of The Columbus Foundation. “As central Ohio arts organizations continue to recover from the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Columbus Foundation is honored, through the generous support of donors who are passionate about the arts, to support and invest in the sector’s health, innovation, impact, and future.”

Arts and culture grants from The Columbus Foundation support high-performing arts organizations whose primary mission and program offerings focus on the creation and presentation of performing, visual, and fine arts in Franklin County.

“By providing unrestricted operating support, these grants are designed to give organizations the flexibility and funding to further their missions and deliver exceptional programming to the community."
