The Columbus Foundation Summer Fellowship Program Grows

Deadline to submit a student application for the 2015 program is January 16

Columbus, OH (November 25, 2014)—The Columbus Foundation’s Summer Fellowship Program is expanding in 2015, offering a total of 14 Fellowships to engage and inspire the next generation of nonprofit leaders, up from 11 in 2014. The Foundation recently selected the nonprofit organizations that will serve as host sites for 2015, and is seeking college or graduate students to fill the Fellowships at a wide range of Franklin County nonprofit organizations. The deadline to submit a student application online is Friday, January 16, 2015.

Since 2010, The Columbus Foundation’s Summer Fellowship Program has been providing career-related work experience for college students interested in the nonprofit sector. Selected students will be placed with a Franklin County nonprofit organization for the length of the Fellowship Program, from June 1–August 7, 2015. The nonprofits participating in the program were chosen to host a student through a competitive application process. Each nonprofit also receives a grant from The Columbus Foundation to cover the stipend for the Fellow.

To qualify for a Fellowship, applicants must be a college junior, senior, 2015 graduate or graduate student in the fall of 2015, and be a Franklin County high school graduate or pursuing a degree at a Franklin County college or university.

The 14 nonprofit organizations chosen to participate in this year’s Fellows program and the projects Fellows will work on are:
