The Allen Eiry Fund recently announced its grant funding for 2016—awarding 12 grants totaling $170,725 to organizations serving elderly residents in Seneca County.

Carter Hatch has been named Planned Giving Officer for Donor Services and Development at The Columbus Foundation, effective May 31, 2016. As a Planned Giving Officer, Hatch will work with the Foundation’s current and prospective donors and professional advisors to match their charitable interests with effective giving strategies.

What are you talking about this week? On Wednesday, more than 5,000 Columbus-area residents are expected to participate in at least 500 conversations to be held across the region as part of the Columbus Foundation’s “Big Table.”

Richard Heer Oman, an attorney who helped guide the Columbus Foundation through years of expansive growth, began his work with the Foundation as a director in 1955 and served through 1978. He remained as its legal counsel until 2005.

The Columbus Youth Foundation (CYF), a Supporting Foundation of The Columbus Foundation, recognized 88 Columbus City Schools (CCS) students through the Best All-Around Student Awards, presented Tuesday evening at Huntington Park before the Columbus Clippers game. The award celebrates students’ academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, service to community, and leadership during the 2022-2023 school year.

The Columbus Foundation announces The Big Table, a community-wide day of conversations, will take place again on August 29. This will be the third Big Table, a day-long event designed to connect citizens and broaden perspectives as residents listen to and learn from each other.

The Columbus Foundation is excited to welcome Danielle Tong, MPH, LSW, to the organization as a Community Research and Grants Management Officer. In this role, Tong researches, reviews, and recommends grants and strategies for a broad spectrum of community needs designed to strengthen and improve the community. She also leads the Foundation’s delivery of capacity-building initiatives benefiting nonprofit leaders and deploys her experience with evaluation and measurement to aid in the Foundation’s strategic grantmaking for a variety of areas of donor interest across central Ohio.

The Columbus Foundation has announced the appointment of officers and members to serve on its Governing Committee in 2020.

Since the Emergency Response Fund launched on March 10, more than 100 Franklin County nonprofits have received a total of $4,611,374 to assist in their response to the coronavirus pandemic.
