Columbus, OH (March 24, 2017)—At a ceremony at The Columbus Foundation, five leading artistic directors and one touring artist were named the newest recipients of The Columbus Performing Arts Prize.

The Columbus Foundation today announced that it has awarded a total of $2.6 million in Program Related Investments (PRIs) to five Black-owned and Black-led businesses serving the central Ohio region. The five businesses—Aventi Enterprises LLC, Embedded Services, The Mezzanine Fund, Our Hospitality Group LLC, and Prospera Advisory Group—are the first to receive funding through The Columbus Foundation’s Equitable Small Business Fund.

The Columbus Foundation approved $4.8 million in grants and loans in December 2022. Propelled by the generosity of donors and the community, grants will support racial equity, human services, and capital projects.

The Columbus Foundation unveils all-time high grantmaking figures for 2022, totaling $328.3 million, and honors philanthropic champions with the 2023 Harrison M. Sayre, Columbus Foundation, and Acorn Awards at the annual Celebration of Philanthropy.

The Columbus Foundation today announced its Governing Committee has approved more than $1.75 million in grants to local arts and culture organizations. A total of 74 nonprofits will receive unrestricted operating support to help these organizations meet community needs and expand arts and cultural programming in Franklin County.

This year’s Big Give bested the rest. Donors set a new record, raising a little more than $18 million for central Ohio charities during the 26-hour, online giving rally, the Columbus Foundation announced Wednesday.

The Columbus Foundation is pleased to announce that Natalie Parscher and Kelly Schleppi have joined the organization’s staff. Natalie serves as the director for the Communications and Marketing department, and Kelly serves as the senior financial reporting accountant for the Finance department.

The Columbus Foundation today announced its 5 Nonprofits to Watch in 2018, recognizing innovative central Ohio organizations poised for an exceptional year of growth and progress. Each recipient awardee received a $5,000 grant.

Seven Miami County nonprofit organizations supporting education,  social services, young people and the community received a financial boost from The Paul G. Duke Foundation. The Foundation has announced new grants totaling more than $190,000 to benefit area residents.

The Robert E. and Genevieve B. Schaefer Fund has awarded 19 grants totaling $119,839.10 to organizations serving the City of Chillicothe and Ross County.
