The Allen Eiry Fund recently announced its grant funding for 2014—awarding 11 grants totaling $182,505 to organizations serving senior citizens in Seneca County.

The J. Floyd Dixon Memorial Fund of Community Foundations, Inc. has awarded 10 grants totaling $46,740 to organizations serving Jackson County.

Six local nonprofits recently received grants aimed at efforts to beautify our community through the Joseph A. Jeffrey Endowment Fund. Seven grants, totaling $78,000, were made possible thanks to the generous legacy of Columbus entrepreneur Joseph A. Jeffrey.

The Columbus Foundation announced officers and members of its Governing Committee for 2015. Elected to serve a seven-year term is Michael P. Glimcher, vice chairman and chief executive officer of WP GLIMCHER. C. Robert Kidder was elected chairman and Matthew D. Walter was elected vice chairman.

The Robert E. and Genevieve B. Schaefer Fund has awarded 17 grants totaling $120,798 to organizations serving Chillicothe and Ross County.

The Columbus Foundation announced a new Critical Need Alert focused on creating positive futures for at-risk youth in Franklin County through strategic partnerships with three innovative nonprofits in the technology workforce development sector: Digital Works, i.c. Stars, and Per Scholas. The Pathways Project: Technology Training and Careers for At-risk Youth will help launch 125 in-demand technology careers for youth in Franklin County who are not in school and not working.
