Columbus OH (March 20, 2017)—The Governing Committee of The Columbus Foundation has named Dan Sharpe Vice President for Community Research and Grants Management, effective March 27, 2017. Sharpe joined the Foundation in 2006, and is an expert in community leadership and nonprofit effectiveness.

COLUMBUS, OH (March 31, 2017)—The J. Floyd Dixon Memorial Fund is currently accepting applications for its 2017 grant program. The application deadline is Monday, May 1, 2017. Applications must be accessed online through columbusfoundation.org and emailed to submit@columbusfoundation.org.

Columbus, OH (May 25, 2017) — The Columbus Youth Foundation (CYF) recognized 94 Columbus City Schools (CCS) students through the Best All-Around Student Awards at Huntington Park.

The Columbus Foundation announced that Chasity Edwards, Ed.M, has joined the organization as the Director of Education Grantmaking.

This fund will assist undergraduate and graduate college students of Serbian descent to achieve their academic goals, with a preference given to students of theology. While there is no formal requirement of repayment, it is the hope of the Trustees of this fund that recipients of this scholarship "when they rise to their position" recognize their moral obligation to give to others in need, whether through a gift to this fund or otherwise.

Dale England, Sr. established this fund to provide scholarships for graduating seniors of Baltimore, Ohio.

The Columbus Baptist Pastors' Conference is the oldest African American clergy organization in central Ohio. Serving the community for over 50 years, the efforts of this organization is to meet the needs of the community through proactive ministry toward spiritual, social and economic improvement. It is with this in mind that under the Presidency of Jesse L. Wood, this Educational Scholarship was conceived and made available to students who are active in the local churches.

The scholarship was established as a tribute to the tireless efforts of George Jenkins and Howard Hennen on behalf of Cadiz High School Athletes. This scholarship benefits graduating seniors or graduates of Harrison Central High School, with preference for students of the former Cadiz High School District.

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. There are more than 8,000 clubs worldwide, in 80+ countries. Kiwanis Club of Columbus was founded in 1916, and is the fifth oldest club. We are an engaging, vibrant group of volunteers involved in hands-on projects right here in downtown Columbus. Our Kiwanis Club encourages camaraderie and fellowship through weekly luncheon meetings, featuring world-class speakers tackling timely topics. In addition, the Kiwanis Club of Columbus provides a wide range of opportunities to volunteer time and talent to make a difference in our community.

The scholarship provides assistance to graduating high school seniors from South High School Urban Academy.
