Hands-On Science for All
COSI
Support for COSI will help obtain a resin printer and materials to build accessible tactile objects for museum exhibits.
Thanks to you and other generous donors, COSI can obtain a resin printer and materials to build accessible tactile objects for museum exhibits.
Founded in 1964, the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) is a nationally esteemed science center that delights learners of all ages with all things science and delivers its experiential, “hands-on fun” brand of learning. COSI—like science—is for everyone: all ages, all backgrounds, and all abilities. Adaptive resources like tactile objects are great for universal learning, most notably for blind and low-vision guests, early childhood learners, and those with autism. COSI hopes to create a process that can be replicated in other galleries.
Thank you for helping COSI make science more accessible to all!
We are Better Together!
“I love COSI because it has such a focus on education and inclusion for those with all abilities. Providing 3D printed objects to help bring these exhibits to life for other people with different abilities would allow COSI to continue its outstanding service to the entire Columbus community and bring the joy of science to everyone.”
—Ashley Bartman Watson, COSI KINETIC Emerging Leaders Board Vice Chair
