CURRENT INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES
The Columbus Foundation supports capital projects designed to improve the delivery, quality, and efficiency of nonprofit programs and services in Franklin County. Through this funding category, The Columbus Foundation solicits, reviews, and funds capital grants in support of established and effective local nonprofit organizations.
In 2022, requests for capital needs exceeded available funding four times over. With generous and thoughtful investment from donors like you, vital organizations and initiatives can find success that will transform our community.

Adaptive Sports Connection: to build an Adventure and Wellness Lodge for activities, support groups, training, and social enterprise to serve veterans, children, and adults with disabilities.
Central Community House of Columbus Inc.: to round out a multi-year renovation project of the historic Bryden Road location that houses senior, arts, and entrepreneurship programming; and community events.
Columbus Humane: to open the Columbus Humane Essential Care Center, which will provide subsidized veterinary care, pet food and supplies, and a diverse, well-trained veterinary workforce on the south side of Columbus.
Columbus Speech and Hearing Center: to replace 10-year-old equipment through the purchase of 37 new computers for employees, two new servers, and all necessary hardware and equipment.
Community Housing Network, Inc. (CHN): to update multipurpose spaces at CHN supportive housing sites to create a more versatile, safe, and appealing environment so people with disabilities and other special needs are stable, connected, and thriving.
Lower Lights Ministries: to respond to the child care crisis by turning a decaying building into a quality child care facility, promoting education and leadership development, offering supportive services for low-income families, and providing equitable access to career opportunities.
Neighborhood Services, Inc. (NSI): to renovate, reorganize, and remodel the NSI Food Pantry.
PrimaryOne Health: to launch a new community health center at 1755 Alum Creek Road that will provide primary care, behavioral health, pediatrics and women’s health, dental, and vision clinics for communities that are underserved.
Star House: to support crucial updates and renovations to Star House's drop-in center—central Ohio's only drop-in center for youth experiencing homelessness, ages 14-24.
