Columbus Dispatch: “Join the Discussion on Suicide at Ohio State Forum”

The conversation about suicide — the 10th leading cause of death in the U.S. — will continue.

Survivors and mental-health experts will share their stories, experiences and frustrations at a community forum from 6 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 7 at the Ohio Union, 1739 N. High St.

The event, which is free and open to the public, is made possible by a grant of $8,500 from the Richard C. and Nanciann Kaufman Ninde Fund of The Columbus Foundation

“The foundation in the last several years has prioritized mental health as a significant need,” said Lisa Courtice, its executive vice president of community research and grants management. “Oftentimes, mental health doesn’t receive as much philanthropy as other community needs.”
