Columbus Baptist Pastors' Conference Educational Fund
The Columbus Baptist Pastors' Conference is the oldest African American clergy organization in central Ohio. Serving the community for over 50 years, the efforts of this organization is to meet the needs of the community through proactive ministry toward spiritual, social and economic improvement. It is with this in mind that under the Presidency of Jesse L. Wood, this Educational Scholarship was conceived and made available to students who are active in the local churches.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Candidates must be an active member of a local Baptist church.
  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or trade school for at least one quarter or semester prior to application and submit an official transcript.
  • Candidates must maintain a 2.5 GPA or better.
  • Candidates must provide a minimum 500 word, double-spaced typed essay on "Succeeding Against the Odds"
  • Candidates must provide three letters of recommendations from the following:
  • Pastor or church leader; Instructor or school official; and non-relative.
  • Candidates must submit a completed application with Pastor's signature.
  • Candidates must submit a non-returnable wallet-size photo.
  • Candidates must attend or plan to attend an educational institution in the U.S.
