Fred and Ethel Shaffer Scholarship
The scholarship was created by donors with a firm belief in the value of education to encourage high school graduates who need financial assistance to pursue higher education. With many years of strong ties to the Grove City community, the fund provides financial assistance to academically talented students in the Grove City, OH community who otherwise might be unable to attend college.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must be pursuing a four-year or more degree, full-time at an Ohio, state-supported university.
- Candidates must be seniors or graduates of Grove City High School in Grove City, OH.
- Candidates who are graduates must have a 3.0 grade point average at their college or university (assuming a 4.0 scale).
- Candidates who are graduating high school seniors must have a 3.5 grade point average (assuming a 4.0 scale).
- Other scholarship awards already received by the candidate will be taken into account with the intention being to provide scholarship assistance to students who have not already received sufficient awards.
