Jayne Jakobsen Scholarship
Jayne Jakobsen, or "Mrs. J" as she was affectionately called by students and staff, was Librarian at Linden McKinley High School in Columbus, Ohio from 1960 through 1982. She inspired students and colleagues to achieve far beyond their expectations. She created and maintained many traditions at Linden McKinley High School, procured the school system's largest library of African-American History articles while giving freely of her time, energy, and life experiences to help anyone she could.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must be attending an accredited institution of higher education or an accredited vocational school.
- Candidates must be graduating seniors or graduates of Linden-McKinley High School of the Columbus (Ohio) City School System.
- Candidates must attend or plan to attend an educational institution in the U.S.
