John Martin Humm Scholarship
The scholarship was established by Naomi Blodgett in memory of her brother, John Martin Humm. John was born in Ashland County, Ohio in 1940. He lived all his life in the rural Jeromesville area of Ohio and was a farmer. He passed away in 2004. Naomi, also born in Ashland County, Ohio, is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in home economics education. She is retired from the Ohio Department of Education. The fund supports full-time students attending OSU's Agricultural Technical Institute, with preference given to candidates from Ashland, Wayne, Holmes, or Richland
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must attend The Ohio State University, Agricultural Technical Institute on a full-time basis.
- Candidates must be citizens of the United States and residents of the State of Ohio, with a preference given to candidates from Ashland, Wayne, Holmes, or Richland Counties.
- Candidates must have at least a 2.8 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).
- Candidates must have financial need.
