Kenneth B. Creasy Speech and Debate Scholarship

The scholarship was created to honor the late Kenneth B. Creasy, who died unexpectedly in June of 1992. Mr. Creasy was a former social studies teacher and speech and debate coach at Olentangy and Hayes high schools in Delaware County, Ohio.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Candidates must be graduating seniors or graduates of a Delaware County, Ohio high school.
  • Candidates must have superior public communication skills, integrity and concern for the welfare of others, and outstanding academic promise.
  • Candidates must be recommended by a speech teacher, forensic director, English Department Chair, school counselor, or other faculty member who can best determine the candidates’ excellence in communication.
  • Candidates must attend or plan to attend an educational institution in the U.S.

March 1, 2026 11:59PM ET

Award Amount:

One $5,000 scholarship for a graduating high school senior. 
One $5,000 scholarship for a current college student.
