Michael Kibbey and Ron Betz Scholarship
The scholarship was created by Ron Betz to honor his husband, Michael Kibbey. Michael Kibbey was a wonderful, caring, and generous Gay man. The scholarship honors him for his lifetime of generosity and loyalty to Gay and other humanitarian causes that he diligently supported. There is no higher cause than helping youth become productive, educated members of society who can help build a better and more compassionate world.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must identify as LGBTQ+ and a member of a minority.
- Candidates must aspire to uplift their community, either LGBTQ+ or minority community.
- Candidates may pursue any post-secondary program, including two- or four-year programs, advanced degrees (master’s, doctorate, etc.) career, technical, or certification program either full- or part-time in Ohio.
- Candidates must have volunteered time in support of their community.
