Dr. Roger Steven Compton was a dedicated educational leader who felt it was both a privilege and an honor to be a school superintendent. It brought Roger great joy to provide the best possible education for students. He enjoyed all aspects of life from sports to the performing arts. The Roger S. Compton Memorial Scholarship is given in his name to keep alive his spirit for helping students realize their dreams through a quality education.
- Candidates must be a graduating high school senior of Kenton Ridge High School or Northeastern High School in Springfield, OH.
- Candidates must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale.
- Candidates must demonstrate an appreciation for the arts through participation in music, art theatre, writing, or dance.
- Candidates must attend a college or university in the U.S. either full- or part-time.
Deadline is determined by each eligible high school.
