Residents of the Short North since 1986, Jack and Zoe Johnstone have seen the revitalization of the neighborhood firsthand—and have proudly been involved in many of the efforts to capitalize on its charm. Music is a passion for both Jack and Zoe. Zoe is an accomplished pianist, and Jack grew up playing violin and classical guitar. Over the years, through two funds at The Columbus Foundation, the John G. and Zoe Johnstone Fund and the Johnstone Fund for New Music, the couple has supported local nonprofits and created opportunities to introduce the public to new music at venues like Short North Stage.

The Charitable Pharmacy of Central Ohio opened in February 2010 and its mission, then and now, is to increase access to prescription medications for low-income, uninsured, and underinsured Franklin County residents. We sat down with R. Taylor Reed, PharmD, Executive Director of the Charitable Pharmacy of Central Ohio, to find out more about the growth and changes the organization has seen in recent years.

For nearly 140 years, the Columbus Museum of Art (CMA) has been delighting hometown audiences and visitors from around the globe. CMA’s permanent collection includes more than 10,500 works of art—with the strength of CMA’s collection in early 20th-century modern American and European art.
