Columbus, OH (April 5, 2017)—The John W. and Edna McManus Shepard Fund/Guernsey County Foundation is currently accepting applications for its 2017 program. The application deadline is Friday, May 26, 2017.

COLUMBUS, OH (April 10, 2017)—On May 17, The Columbus Foundation will catalyze thousands of central Ohio residents to connect, talk, listen, learn, and be inspired at The Big Table.

More than $250 million has poured into Weinland Park over two decades from Ohio State University, the City of Columbus and other public and private entities – almost $10 million per square block in the long-distressed neighborhood north of Italian Village.

The Columbus Foundation’s Governing Committee recently approved more than $1.4 million in grants to support 53 arts organizations serving central Ohio. Grants were also awarded to recognize Smart Columbus and ColumbusNext, which will benefit our community as we look to the future.

The Columbus Foundation today announced Frederic Bertley, PhD, President and CEO of the Center of Science and Industry (COSI), as the 2023 honoree of The Spirit of Columbus Award.

Community Foundations, Inc., an affiliate of The Columbus Foundation, is now accepting grant applications from nonprofit organizations serving Ross County in the areas of cultural development, health and human welfare, economic development, and underprivileged youth.

The Columbus Foundation is seeking college and graduate students and recent college graduates who have an interest in the nonprofit sector to apply to the 2024 Summer Fellowship Program. Applications are due Friday, December 8, 2023.

The Columbus Foundation announced more than $2.6 million in grants to 30 local nonprofit organizations supporting a variety of capital improvement projects to help organizations enhance and expand service delivery, renovate and update facilities, purchase new equipment and technology, and more.

Stephen and Nancy Van Heyde established this fund in memory of their son, Ian. Ian was a senior at Whetstone High School and a distinguished student in culinary arts at Northeast Career Center. The purpose of the fund is to preserve the memory of Ian, an ever-smiling teenager, and to perpetuate his reputation for helping others. As he was intensely interested in a career in culinary arts, the scholarship fund will award scholarships to students pursuing postsecondary studies in the culinary arts, food management, or restaurant management.
