Janith Sheryl Rosemond Memorial Music Scholarship Fund
The scholarship was established in 1997 by Rosalie Rosemond to honor her daughter, Janith Sheryl Rosemond. A 1965 graduate of Eastmoor High School, Jan Rosemond went on to receive her RN from Howard University; BS in Elementary Education from Boston University, Boston; and her MA in Health Education from Columbia University’s Teacher’s College. Throughout her career, Jan held positions that included staff and surgical nurse, school nurse and teacher, and health consultant in Columbus, Ohio and New York, New York until 1980.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must be pursuing the study of music at The Ohio State University.
- Candidates must be African-American graduating high school seniors from Ohio, or a previous recipient of the scholarship; preference will be given to graduates of Columbus City Schools.
