PrimaryOne Health Community Scholarship

The Healthcare Justice Scholarship benefits racial, ethnic, and cultural underrepresented populations pursuing careers in healthcare. The scholarship fund will increase opportunities; educate, train, and employ more individuals of a diverse background; and allow for more diverse perspectives in the healthcare field. The goal is to grow a diverse healthcare pipeline to improve health outcomes.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Candidates must major in a healthcare-related field.
  • Candidates may pursue a two-, four-, or eight-year program.
  • Candidates must attend an accredited bachelor’s, master’s, or certification program either full- or part-time in Ohio.
  • Candidates must be residents of Ohio.
  • Candidates must identify as a member of a National Institute of Health (NIH)-designated health disparity population including people who identify as: American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian American, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, and Sexual and Gender Minorities (LGBTQIA+) (https://www.nimhd.nih.gov/about/overview/).

March 22, 2024 5PM EST

Award Amount:

Up to $40,000 in total. The maximum of $2,000 per year for the duration of the program not to exceed the cost of the program with a cap at $8,000. $10,000 is reserved for Medical Assistant or LPN
