Scot A. Elwood Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Scot A. Elwood Memorial Fund has been established in loving memory of Scot Alexander Elwood who graduated from New Albany High School in 2002 and was killed in a tragic accident during his sophomore year at Cornell University. Scot's family and friends hope to memorialize Scot through these scholarships, by promoting his ideal of combined athletic and academic excellence.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must have participated in one or more of the following sports through their senior year at New Albany High School: Males - soccer, wrestling, lacrosse, tennis; Females - soccer, volleyball, lacrosse, tennis.
- Candidates must have earned at least one varsity letter prior to their senior year.
- Candidates must have a minimum of a 3.5 grade point average.
- Candidates must be pursuing post-secondary education at an accredited public or nonprofit independent career & technical school, certification, college, or university in the U.S.

April 7, 2025
Award Amount:
Two scholarships for $2,000 each.
