Wehrle Endowment Scholarship Fund
The fund was established to assist elementary and secondary school–age students residing in the east and south vicariates of the Catholic Diocese of Columbus to obtain an education in the Catholic tradition. Money raised by the former Wehrle High School community education association was used to create this fund. The students need not be Catholic and the scholarship awards shall be based on financial need.
- Candidates must attend or plan to attend Bishop Hartley High School in Columbus, Ohio.
- Candidates must have a desire to attend a Catholic High School (based on personal essay from student and essay from the parent or legal guardian).
- Candidates will be selected on the basis of household income.
- Priority will be given to students in the following order: 1 - Students currently in the Catholic feeder system consisting of the following schools: St. Catherine, St. Philip the Apostle, Holy Spirit, St. Pius X, St. Mary, St. Thomas, St. Matthew, and Christ the King. 2 - Students currently attending a Catholic Parish but enrolled in public school. 3 - Students who are non-Catholic and attend a public school.
