A New Van for Assistance Dogs
Canine Companions for Independence®
Give dogs a lift! Provide reliable transportation for Canine Companions® as they prepare for their careers as assistance dogs for people with disabilities.
For the past 11 years, Canine Companions has used the same van to transport dogs to veterinary appointments. What may surprise you? The intensive preparation of each dog includes DAILY visits to the veterinarian for the first six weeks of training, and then once or twice a week thereafter!
The wear and tear on Canine Companion’s existing vehicle was becoming too expensive to maintain, and the van lacked some helpful features that would ease clean up and transport. Your support of this campaign will help Canine Companions secure safe and reliable transportation for dogs and staff as they prepare to graduate as assistance dogs.
Thank you! We are Better Together!
“We are so appreciative of all of the support we have received to help make this project a success. Our mission is to enhance the lives of people with disabilities, and with your help we are able to purchase a new van that will provide reliable transportation for our assistance dogs in training. Thank you for giving the gift of independence to people with disabilities!”
