Create Calm Classrooms with Yoga
Youth Yoga Project
Bring yoga and mindfulness to local schools! Your support will provide weekly yoga sessions to students in under-served communities, empowering them with tools and techniques to stay calm, focused, and learning-ready throughout their school day.
Youth Yoga Project (YYP) was established to support the physical, social, and emotional well-being of students in under-resourced communities. When yoga and mindfulness practices are implemented in schools, students are better prepared to focus their attention on classroom instruction and achieve academic success. YYP’s proven curriculum provides weekly yoga that teaches them to use deep breathing, stretching, and relaxation techniques to cope with stressful moments and challenging situations—in and outside of the classroom.
With your support, students at Parkmoor Elementary, West Franklin Elementary, and South High School will be equipped with healthy coping skills that will last a lifetime--more than doubling the number of students who participated in the last school year.
Thank you for joining with others to empower students with tools and techniques to stay calm, focused, and learning-ready throughout their school day!
We are Better Together!
“Thank you for donating to provide yoga and mindfulness to public school communities. We believe providing yoga and mindfulness to students in under-served schools is a social justice issue, and we are so grateful for your support of this endeavor. With your help, we can create peaceful classrooms and successful learners.”
