Neighborhood Services, Inc (NSI) was founded in 1965 in response to increased homelessness and the growing need for food in the community. NSI strives to improve the quality of life in our community by compassionately and respectfully providing our neighbors with food and material assistance. One in eight Ohioans are food insecure; the pantry’s convenient, central location allows NSI to impact people in need from all over the city of Columbus.

Support for this Better Together project helped provide Thanksgiving food baskets to more neighbors this year. Baskets included a Thanksgiving turkey, various side dishes, and fresh produce. Thank you for helping NSI bring light to the holiday season!

"Even in the best of times, too often a lack of transportation, a sense of shame in asking for help, limited English skills, or many other variables create a boundary between families and food. Add to this a global pandemic and the financial stress of the holiday season, and too many families stand to not enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner with loved ones this year. NSI works to shatter these boundaries with delivery, compassion, and a convenient, central Columbus location."
