Light Up Early Learning
Columbus Metropolitan Library
Support for Columbus Metropolitan Library will help fund the installation of an Everbright interactive light wall in the Children’s area at the Main Library and neighborhood branches.
Thanks to you and other generous donors, Columbus Metropolitan Library (CML) was able to install an Everbright interactive light wall in the Children’s area at Main Library and neighborhood branches.
Columbus Metropolitan Library (CML) has served the people of Franklin County, Ohio since 1873. With its Main Library and 22 branches, CML is known for signature services and programs serving young people, like School Help, Reading Buddies, and Summer Reading Challenge. CML offers both in-person and virtual kindergarten readiness programs led by knowledgeable staff, but many children, families, and child care groups who come to the library need opportunities to play and learn when they arrive outside of scheduled program times.
The Everbright is a modern reimagining of the giant Lite Brite, with no removable parts. Ergonomic dials rotate endlessly through a spectrum of hundreds of colors, providing appealing, self-directed educational play experiences for young learners and their caregivers.
We are Better Together!
“Adding an Everbright to the Main Library Children’s area will enhance the early literacy potential of the space. Young children can use the Everbright to plot out the spelling of words and letters, turning the abstract concept of a letter into a fun tangible experience.”
