Shade for Rescued Animals

Sunrise Animal Sanctuary

PURPOSE

Rescued farm animals need protection from the sun and rain that allows them to enjoy the outdoors. Your donation will provide multiple shelters that will benefit animals at Sunrise Sanctuary for years to come.

Rescued farm and companion animals live together in harmony on Sunrise’s 16-acre property. Previously abused or abandoned, the animals receive quality care and help volunteers educate children about farm life. The organization is volunteer run, and the only facility of its kind in central Ohio, where horses, donkeys, llamas, goats, sheep, cows, pigs, geese, and chickens roam freely.

Thanks to your generous support of this project, Sunrise Sanctuary is closer to installing run-in shelters on the farm, providing much needed shelter to the animals that call Sunrise home. Designed specifically for equine and livestock, the shelters will be placed in the pastures, offering well-ventilated protection from harsh weather while allowing the animals to stay outside.

Thank you! We are Better Together!

“We cannot thank everyone who supported this effort enough. The shelters will greatly affect the lives of the animals and the volunteers in such a positive way. This is a much more efficient use of space and infrastructure, as the barns can be more easily cleaned, repaired, and updated by the all-volunteer staff.”
