Grants Supporting Marginalized Populations

The Columbus Foundation is committed to a just society, and to working with community partners to address the symptoms of inequality by supporting partnerships that expand economic opportunities for historically marginalized people and reduce disparities across the community.

The Columbus Foundation also commits to promoting equitable access, and to working with community partners to expand economic opportunities that help close historic gaps, expand community knowledge by supporting programs focused on inclusivity, work with community partners to reduce disparities, and more deeply engage in the work of creating more just and human-centered systems across our community, so that all can benefit.

ELIGIBILITY

The Columbus Foundation seeks to fund nonprofit programs or initiatives that are intentionally and purposely designed to promote the following within Franklin County:

  • Economic Opportunity: Programs and initiatives that increase economic mobility and opportunity for members of Franklin County.
  • Awareness and Education: Programs and initiatives, focused on the broader community, that support education in areas of inclusivity across the community, at specific and structural levels. (Applications should not focus on activities for a sole organizational entity, but rather a backbone entity providing broader, community focused, awareness and education.)
  • Disparity Reduction: Programs and initiatives that reduce the disparity, and increase prosperity, for marginalized populations across the community.

DEADLINES

The deadline for grants supporting marginalized populations is the first Friday in March. The application will be available one month prior to the deadline. View Deadlines and Open Houses for more information.
