In October 2024, the Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland opened the AEP Foundation STEM Leadership Center and CK Construction Maker Space—a 25,000-square-foot facility that is the largest Girl Scout STEM Center in the United States.

Our Governing Committee consists of nine volunteers dedicated to stewardship for The Columbus Foundation and its charitable activities. These civic leaders, chosen for their knowledge of the community’s needs, were appointed to seven-year terms. Over the past seven decades, more than 40 community leaders have served as members of the Foundation’s Governing Committee.

The Columbus Foundation’s Governing Committee approved $750,000 in grants to support 12 local nonprofit organizations serving under- and uninsured medically vulnerable populations.
