Social Enterprises
Social enterprises focus on a social objective as a primary purpose. With a goal of also maximizing profit, the profit is used to further the nonprofit’s social objective.
The Columbus Foundation supports the work of GiveBackHack, SEA Change, Innovation Catalyst, Philanthropitch, and Social Ventures. Nonprofits interested in financial support for social enterprises are encouraged to first explore these programs, as each provides valuable lessons and coaching.
ELIGIBILITY
The Foundation, on a limited basis, does invest directly in nonprofit social enterprises. New and existing nonprofit organizations with a social enterprise impacting Franklin County are eligible to apply.
DEADLINE
Applications for direct funding are accepted on a rolling basis.
